Abyei Administration's Chairman and Deputy sworn in |

Arop Mayak of the SPLM and Rahma Abdul Rahman of the NCP have been sworn in as the new Chairman and Deputy of the Abyei Interim Administration before President Omer Al Bashir.
The ceremony came weeks after the appointment according to the CPA and the roadmap agreement.
Al Bashir called on the two parties and the new management to work as one team to achieve the ambitions and aspirations of the people in the area.
Arop Mayak said to the press that security, stability in addition to reconstruction and resettlement are the administration's top priorities.
Abdurrahman stressed rehabilitation of the area after the war damages.
