The government of South Sudan has informed president Al-Bashir during his visit to Juba about the need to compensate oil-rich areas once the borders are determined.

The speaker of the South Sudan assembly James Wani Igga said that the Presidency should speed up the border demarcation process.

Mr. Wani Iga said that "due to erroneous borders, collection of oil revenue has been uncertain".

He described the border issue as supreme among other issues.

Meanwhile the head of South Sudan Assembly committee for culture and information Bashir Gbandi said that the initiative to construct dams has come quite late, however he said, it is very welcomed.
