The Member of Parliament in Southern Darfur State Muhammad Ahmad Basi confirmed the resignation of six state's government officials.

Speaking to Miraya FM Mr. Basi said that the ministers submitted their resignation letters to the Deputy Governor Faraj Mustafa protesting the Kalma camp events last Monday.

The MP pointed out that the government forces are still having the camp under siege.

Meanwhile the United Nation African Mission in Darfur UNAMID; said that the final death toll following clashes between police forces and the internally displaced persons in the camp has reached thirty one including seven children and ten women.
