Al Bashir singns contracts worth $40 million |

The President of the Republic of Sudan, Omer Al Bashir has signed contracts worth about 40 million US dollars for the rehabilitation of various sectors in southern Sudan.
Al Bashir, and the First Vice President of the Republic, Salva Kiir Mayardit signed the contracts at the Southern Sudan Parliament soon after Bashir arrived in Juba.
The contracts will cover construction of electricity generating dams, water reservoirs; dams’ survey works services, documentation and data collection, aerial photography, ground networks, rehabilitation of water supply dams, and maintenance of water storage facilities.
President Al Bashir is expected to meet Members of Parliament of the South Sudan Legislative Assembly, and participate in a joint Council of Ministers meeting to review implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA).
The visit to Juba comes after more than a year since January 9, 2007, when Al-Bashir attended celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the CPA.
