The border areas between Southern Darfur and Southern Kordufan states accupied by Al-Misseriya and Al-Rizeigat tribes is now calm.
Tribal leaders from both sides said that the increasing possession of weapons in the area is the main reason behind the high casualties during the recent violence.
The chairman of Al-Rizegat council of Shura Muhammad Eissa Aliuo told Miraya FM that violence may erupt again in the absence of the security forces.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of Al-Misseriya sons' alliance Musa Hamdin has affirmed that security forces from Darfur and Kordufan have started moving towards the area of conflict in the border between the two states.
Speaking to Miraya fm Mr. Hamdin said that officials and diplomats from the two tribes have arrived in the area to reduce the tension, and to prepare for a conference bringing together the conflicting tribes next month.
It is worth mentioning that violence erupted between Al-Misserya and Al-Rizegat tribes on Wednesday, killing sixty seven people from both sides.
