Japan won't send peacekeeping troops to UNMIS |

Japan Government will not send peacekeeping troops to the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS).
According to the deputy director for parliamentarians in Japan, Taku Otsuka, the Japanese defense constitution does not allow participation of its troops in peacekeeping.
Taku Otsuka also said the Japanese Government is planning to support UNMIS in other activities like the implementation of the CPA.
