The Ministry of Regional Cooperation in the Government of South Sudan has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity mandating south Sudan to open liaison offices in foreign countries.

The GoSS Minister of Regional Cooperation Barnaba Marial Benjamin, told the press on Wednesday upon arrival from Khartoum that the agreement will strengthen cooperation between south Sudan liaison offices and Sudan Embassies abroad.
 
He said that the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) allows south Sudan to have liaison offices in foreign countries without restriction from the GoNU.
 
Minister Barnaba said that the GoSS will fully support the liaison offices abroad financially.
