The High Executive Political Committee between the National Congress Party (NCP) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) approved in yesterday’s meeting in Khartoum forming a committee to assist in crisis management.
Ameen Hassan Omer, NCP member of the committee, said that the coming days will witness intensive work for the committees, pointing out that the Darfur and Abyei committees need more than one meeting.
Meanwhile, Yassir Arman, SPLM member of the committee, called for enforcing the National Reconciliation Committee to organize a national consensus meeting to solve the Darfur issue and deal with the ICC-Sudan crisis.
The High Executive Political Committee meeting was headed by the Vice President Ali Osman Taha, and the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar, in the presence of 13 members representing 11 committees.
On the other hand, the High Executive Committee for the implementation of the Security Arrangements in Southern Kordofan and the Blue Nile States met in Kuada and discussed the obstacles facing the implementation of the Security Arrangements in the two states.
