The Ministry of Transport and Roads in the Government of Southern Sudan, GoSS, has terminated the contract of Italian company Civil Engineer Company (CEC) for works at the Juba international airport.
The Under-Secretary at the Ministry Dr. Daniel Wani told Miraya FM that the Italian company “has failed to deliver to expectations of the government."
Dr. Daniel Wani said that the GoSS has also decided to reduce number of kilometers of roads that the Italian company CEC is being taracing (asphalting) in Juba from over 60 to 30 kilometers.
He added that four companies are now competing for the Juba international airport bid and the replacement for the CEC Company will be confirmed within three weeks.
A team from South Sudan Legislative Assembly is expected to inspect on Saturday the works done so far by the CEC international company.
