The State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al Sammani Al Wassila, said that Sudan has no objection to restoring diplomatic relationships with Chad, calling on the Chadian government to take a similar position.
The Government of Senegal had earlier announced, after a meeting held between the Sdanese and Chadian Foreign Ministers in Darkar, that President Omer Al-Bashir has agreed to restore diplomatic ties with Chad.
In another development, Senegalese President, Abdullah Wad, reported that American President George W. Bush said that he may overpass the Security Council and send troops to Darfur if the government of Sudan does not stop what he called "genocide."
