SPLM rejects any interrogation with Pagan Amum PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 12 July 2008

The Sudan people’s Liberation Movement SPLM says that it stands with the Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the government of National Unity, Mr Pagan Amun and that he should not appear in front of any committee.

President Al-Bashir had earlier issued resolution lifting the immunity of the Minister Amum on the background of his statements which described Sudan as a corrupt and unsuccessful State…

The Deputy speaker of the National interim Assembly Atem Gareng described the decision as a violation of freedom of speech which is guaranteed by the CPA…
Speaking to Miraya FM Mr. Atem pointed out that Minister Amum was expressing his own point of view about the criteria of the Sudanese State, and not the current government…
The SPLM deputy secretary general Dr. Ann Itto, told the press yesterday that Mr. Amum is carrying out his duty in the ministry as the SPLM vision implies.
