The Deputy Secretary General of the SPLM for Northern Sector, Yasir Arman, said that his movement rejected the decision taken by the presidency to probe Pagan Amum on his recent statements that the Sudan is a corrupt and a collapsed State.
Mr. Arman said that this step negatively affects the relations between the National Congress Party and the SPLM.
On Wednesday media reports revealed that President Omer Al-Bashir lifted the immunity of Pagan Amum who is also the Secretary General of the SPLM.
The SPLM meanwhile confirmed that representatives from the National Congress Party and the movement” are on their way to the ICC in Hague” to submit the Abyei agreement on international arbitration.
Speaking to the press in Juba the SPLM Deputy Secretary General for Northern Sector Yasir Arman affirmed that the Vice President of the Republic Ali Osman Taha and the vice President of the Southern Sudan Dr. Riek Machar have signed the arbitration agreement.
However Arman expressed his worries over the delay in formation of the Abyei interim administration.
It is worth mentioning that the Chairman of the SPLM Salva Kiir Mayardit has called his movement’s leading members to Juba for a meeting to discuss the Major national issues.
