NCP affirms its commitment to the National Unity |

The spokesperson The National Congress Party’s, Mandur al Mahdi, said that his party was eager to protect and uphold Sudan’s national unity and render it attractive for the southerners so they vote for it in the coming referendum.
Addressing the opening of the second session of the Consultative Council of the Upper Nile State, in Malakal on Thursday, Mr. Mandur said the Upper Nile region is the stronghold of Sudan’s unity as its residents are made up of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
He added that his party has been working with their partners in the SPLM to resolve disputes.
For his part, The State Chairman of the SPLM Duk Jock Duk said; the political partnership between the SPLM and the NCP in Upper Nile was on good footing.
However he said the partnership was facing frequent challenges due to lack of understanding of the nature of the region by the National Congress Party.Mr. Duk reiterated the attractive unity relays totally on the implementation of the comprehensive peace agreement.
