Ban Ki-moon requests Japan to support UNMIS PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 28 June 2008

ban_ki-moon.jpgDuring his current visit to Japan, the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, expressed hope that Japan contribute to the UN peacekeeping mission in Sudan.

Japanese officials said they are about to take a final decision on this regard.

The Japanese constitution limits Japan’s contribution to military activities outside Japan and prohibits Japan from using force to settle international conflicts.
