A leading member in the National Congress Party (NCP), Amin Hassan Omar, said that the government has not yet decided whether it will enter into peace talks with the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM).
Mr. Omar said that the government is still considering JEM as a terrorist movement after the Omdurman attacks.
He said that negotiations with the movement depend on the government's considerations.
Sudanese Foreign Minister, Deng Alor, said earlier that the government is ready to negotiate with all the Darfur movements including the JEM under the mediation of the United Nations.
