The Dinka Ngok and the Misseriya tribes welcome the deployment of the JIUs troops in Abyei and called for compensations for those affected by the recent clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces and the SPLA.
The leader of the Misseriya tribe in Abyei Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ansari said that the town is empty. He told Miraya FM that the humanitarian aids which arrived in the town have been stored because there are no civilians in the town.
Al-Ansari said that there are expectations that the displaced people will return back to the town after security stability with the deployment of the Joint Integrated Units (JIUs).
A leading figure in the Dinka Ngok Wol Majak meanwhile welcomed the deployment of the JIUs to Abyei, saying that it will help realizing security and protecting civilians.
Speaking to Miraya FM, Majak urged the United Nations to compensate the affected people by the recent clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces and the SPLA.
