A Sudanese Airbus passenger plane crashed in Khartoum airport shortly after landing on Tuesday night killing at least twenty eight people.
Two hundred and three people were on board the plane. The Civil Aviation Authorities said that one hundred passengers escaped the accident while others are reported missing.
Before landing, the plane was diverted to Port Sudan because of bad weather conditions. After closing the Khartoum Airport since last night, flights are expected to resume today.
The spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Corporation, Abdel Hafiz Abdul Rahim, told Miraya FM that an investigation committee will be formed to probe the incident.
