Southern Sudan minister of Interior Paul Mayom told Reuters News Agency that they will send reinforcements to the border area with the DR Congo to repulse LRA attacks on civilians in the region.
Mayom added that instructions have been given to the SPLA units to the effect.
LRA fighters have recently killed more that 20 people, including fourteen SPLA soldiers in Western Equatoria State.
Sudan, Uganda and Congo had previously agreed to launch a joint attack on the LRA if its leader Joseph Koni does not continue peace talks with the Ugandan Government.
