The UN Security Council delegation is expected to conclude its four day visit to Sudan today after meeting President Omer Al-Bashir.
The delegation will fly to Chad and later to the DR Congo, and Ivory Cost.
The delegation visited Al-Fashir town of the Northern Darfur State Thursday.
The delegation met the officials of the United Nations/African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) in Al-Fashir, visited displaced camps, and met the governor of the State, Osman Mohammed Yousif Kibir.
Mr. Kibir told the UN Security Council delegation that the situation in Darfur is improving.
He urged the international organizations to engage on dialogue rather than exerting political pressure.
The UK Ambassador to the UN Security Council, John Sawers, meanwhile demanded from the Darfur Authorities to ease aid operations and the deployment of the UNAMID troops to the region.
Mr. Sawers also said he hope the Sudanese government will cooperate with the International Criminal Court (ICC) on handing over the accused government personnel to the Court.
The South African Ambassador to the UN Security Council, Dumisani Kumalo, said that the Darfur problem is complex and it needs all sides to exert efforts in achieving a comprehensive peace in Darfur.
Mr. Kumalo, earlier disclosed the National Congress Party and the SPLM agreed to allow the repatriation of the displaced people to Abyei and to commence an investigation on the recent clashes between the Sudan Armed Forces and the SPLA.
He added that this agreement will give the UN Mission in Sudan more free movement in the South to perform its tasks.
On related developments, Sudan said on Thursday that it is banning US companies from working with the international peacekeepers in Darfur.
Sudan said that this decision came in a reaction to the decision taken by the US to suspend talks with the Sudanese government.
The Sudanese Ambassador to the UN, Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim, said that “the US is imposing sanctions on us as such we will not let their companies benefit in our country” as he putted it.
