No casualties in mission attack, UNAMID says |

The Spokesperson of the United Nations/African Union mission in Darfur (UNAMID), Nour-din Mazni, told Miraya FM that there are no casualties among the mission troops after it came under attacks by armed men.
Armed men with machine guns and rifles earlier attacked the UNAMID in Genaina town of Western Darfur State.
Mr. Mazni said that UNAMID did not exchange with the armed men during the ambush.
He said that the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon condemned the attacks carried out by the armed men on the UNAMID troops. The Spokesperson said that the UNAMID is investigating the incident.
This attack which was carried out on the UNAMID in the western part of Al-Genaina is the fifth of its kind since the mission was deployed in the region.
