The First Vice President of the Republic and President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, called on the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) to pull out of southern Sudan if it failed to reach an agreement with the Ugandan government.
Addressing the celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of the SPLA/M in Juba, Mr. Kiir assured that the movement will continue its peace mediation effort.
However, Mr. Kiir threatened to use force to expel the LRA from southern Sudan if it is not serious in achieving peace to end the two decades of civil war in Northern Uganda.
