Ministry of Justice begins investigations with JEM detainees |

The Ministry of Justice has started investigations with the detained Justice and Equality Movement rebels in accordance with Terrorism Act 2001.
The Sudanese army repulsed an attack launched by JEM rebels on Omdurman and Khartoum last Saturday.
The Under-Secretary in the Ministry of Justice, Abdel Da’em Zimrawi revealed in press statements that the terrorism prosecution will be in charge of the criminal proceedings and prosecution of the JEM rebel fugitives through the Interpol.
In the same context, the Interim National Council has established an investigation committee on the Omdurman events.
The 24 member committee will be chaired by the Chairman of the Security Committee in Parliament, Major General Jalal Tawer.
The committee started its work yesterday by presenting a report to the Chairman of the Interim National Council, whereas the final report will be completed within two months.
