Violence on Chad-Sudanese borders, UNHCR says PDF Print E-mail

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said on Friday that it had reduced its activities in eastern Chad on the Sudanese border due to the increasing violence.
 
UNHCR said that two people were killed and two others injured by Chadian armed men in a refugee camps where about 23,000 Sudanese are taking refuge. 
 
However, the Refugee Agency said that it will look for ways to ease the transportation of food aid and health supplies to the refugees in the camps.It said that the recent attacks of the Justice and Equality Movement on Omdruman have reflected negatively on the security situation in eastern Chad.
