The SPLM Second National Convention continues in Juba |

The SPLM Second National Convention is continuing for the second day in Juba and is expected to last for four days.
More than (1,500) delegates are participating in the Convention which started on Thursday where all the Sudanese political representatives addressed the opening session.
Addressing the opening session, the First Vice President of the Republic and the President of the government of southern Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, said the Government of National Unity will reinforce peace and security in the Sudan.
Mr. Kiir affirmed the commitment of the SPLM to the process of Democratization.
He called on all the participants in the Convention to nominate themselves in all the positions of the SPLM leadership.
The Vice President of the Republic, the deputy chairman and the representative of the National Congress Party Ali Osman Mohammed Taha, called for renouncing tribalism and racism and recommended for joining efforts for the implementation of all the articles of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
Addressing the opening session, Mr. Taha said that the National Congress Party is committed to the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
