SLM-Unity Faction denies planning to attack Al-Fashir &Northern Darfur imposes security in Al-Fashir PDF Print E-mail

The Sudan Liberation Movement (SLM-Unity Faction) earlier denied allegations that the movement is planning to attack the town of Al-Fashir.

Speaking to Miraya FM a leading member in the SLM-Unity Faction Suleiman Jamus said that the movement is not intending to transfer the
Darfur struggle to the Cities.

 
The Authorities in the Northern Darfur State imposed tied security in the State’s Capital, Al-Fashir.

The Airport and markets in the town have been closed.  Security Authorities in the State said that the intelligence reports reveal that some Darfur armed movements are expected to attack the town of Al-Fashir.  

The United Nations in Al-Fashir meanwhile imposed curfew on all its personnel in the State due to the deteriorating security situation.
