The Sudan Armed Forces said that Omdurman area is now calm after three days of clashes between the government troops and the Justice and Equality Movement.
The Director of the Sudan Armed Forces Office Spokesperson, Lt. Colonel Swarmi Khalid, told Miraya FM that the army and other organized forces are mopping the area in search for some elements of the Justice and Equality Movement who are still on loose.
Lt. Colonel Khalid said that the army clashed with some of these remaining elements in west Omdurman.
Mr. Khalid disregarded the warnings made by the Leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, Khalil Ibrahim, that he will launch more attacks on Khartoum.
He said that if the Justice and Equality Movement attack Khartoum again it will face the same challenges.
