Partial lift of curfew, Interior Minister says |

The Interior Minister, Ibrahim Mahmoud Hamid, lifted the curfew in Khartoum and Khartoum North.
The Ministry said that the curfew remains in place in Omdruman indefinitely. The Ministry urged citizens in Omdruman to stay in doors.
Mr. Hamid said that the situation apparently is stable and called on the citizens in the city to respect the curfew and to report suspected movements.
The President of the Republic Field Marshal, Omer Hassen Ahmed Al-Bashir, said that he broke-off diplomatic relations with Chad. President Bashir was on an Umraah (small pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia, and returned back to Sudan late night on Saturday. Mr. Bashir said that the government reserves right to respond.
The Adviser to the President of the Republic, Mustafa Osman Ismail, said that the Sudanese forces pushed back the Justice and Equality Movement from entering Omdruman.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera television channel, Mr. Osman said that the government suspended peace talks with the Justice and Equality Movement after the recent events.
