Sudan breaks-off diplomatic relations with Chad |

The President of the Republic Field Marshal, Omer Hassen Ahmed Al-Bashir, said that he broke-off diplomatic relations with Chad.
President Bashir was on an Umraah (small pilgrimage) in Saudi Arabia, and returned back to Sudan late night on Saturday.
Some news just in, the leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, Dr. Khalil Ibrahim, is reportedly to be leading the operations in Omdruman. The Sudan National television appealed to citizens in the area to report anywhere of Dr. Ibrahim to the security organs to ease his arrest.
The Chadian government meanwhile denied accusations made by the Sudanese government that it is involved in the attacks.
Speaking to Al-Jazeera television channel, the Chadian Information Minister called on the Sudanese government and all the Darfur movements to be committed with agreements they had signed.
Meanwhile, the First vice President and President of the government of southern Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, condemned the attacks carried out by the Justice and Equality Movement in Omdruman on Saturday.
First vice President and President of the government of southern Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, also announced the suspension of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) Second National Convention which was suppose to start today in Juba.
The Presidential Adviser, Mustafa Osman Ismail, said that the peace talks between the government and the Justice and Equality is suspended due to the attacks carried out by the Movement in Omdruman. The Sudan Armed Forces said that it repulsed and chased the Justice and Equality Movement which entered Khartoum on Saturday.
The Armed Forces said that it killed and arrested a number of the Justice and Equality movement elements. The Sudan National Television reported that two commanders of the Justice and Equality Movement, Mohammed Salih Jabra, and Mohammed Nouri-din, have been killed in the clashes between the government forces and the movement.
Some of the arrested elements of the Justice and Equality Movement which were shown on the Sudan National Television said that they came from Chad. The pictures of the captives of the Justice and Equality Movement which were shown on the television illustrate signs of beating.
The Interior Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Hamid Mahmoud, extended the curfew in the Khartoum State up to 10 AM. Dr. Mahmoud said that the situation apparently is stable and called the citizens in the city to respect the curfew and report suspected movements.
The Administration of the US President said that it was very concerned with the outbreak of the violence in Khartoum between the rebels and the government troops. The Administration urged both sides to exercise restraint.
The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, expressed concern on the renewed fighting between the Sudanese government and the Darfur rebels. Ki-Moon called on for the quick ceasing of fire. However, he warned of changing the current situation in Sudan.
Political parties and civil society organizations issued statements condemning the attempts which are aimed causing security instability of the country. The Chairman of the National Ummah Party, Sadiq Al-Mahdi, is one of the prominent political figures who condemned the attacks carried out by the Justice and Equality Movement in Omdruman on Saturday.
A leading member in the National Democratic Alliance, Abdel Rahaman Saad, also condemned. The Justice and Equality Movement entrance to Khartoum came after two days from the announcement of the Sudan Armed Forces that it pushed back the Movement from entering the Sudanese Capital.
