The world celebrated today the International Labor Day which is an occasion to address workers concerns.  

The Southern Sudan Ministry of Labor, Public Service and Human Resources Development, said that it is working on improving the conditions of workers in the south. 
 

Speaking to Miraya FM, the Acting Under-Secretary in the Ministry, James Tippo, said laws and regulations of the Public Service in the south will also be improved.
 Mr. Tippo added that the ministry is trying to ensure that salaries are paid on time. 

The Chairman of the Sudan Federation of Workers Unions, Dr. Ibrahim Ghandoor, participated in the celebration of the International Labor Day in Cairo, Egypt.
 Dr. Ghandoor disclosed to Miraya FM that the Federation will contact the federal Minister of Finance to increase the salaries of the Sudanese workers.
