UNAMID deployes 40% of troops in Darfur PDF Print E-mail

The Joint Representative of the United Nations/African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), Radolphe Adada, said that the Mission had deployed 40% of its troops to the region.  
Mr. Adada said that all parties are responsible for the delays in the deployment of the UNAMID troops to Darfur.
 Speaking to the press today in Khartoum, Adada said that UNAMID is hoping by the end of this year to deployed 80% of its troops to Darfur. 

Mr. Adada added that one of the priorities for the UNAMID is to protect the humanitarian organizations operating in Darfur.
He said that the attacks on the World Food Program were carried out by robbers.
