WHO provides swine flu treatment for 10,000 peole to South Sudan

swine-flu.jpgThe Director of Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response at the Government of South Sudan told Miraya FM that the Health Ministry has  received this week medical treatment for swine flu from the World Health Organization (WHO) for 10,000 people in preparation for any outbreak of the desease.

Leading member of Unionist Party, Al Haj Mudawi, dies

A leading member of the Unionist Party, Al Haj Mudawi, has died at the age of 80 in the Thai Capital, Bangkok on Friday. His burial will be held in his hometown of Al Ailafoun on Sunday.

ICC investigates violence following general elections last year in Kenya

icc.jpgThe Kenyan government requested from the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the acts of violence that followed the general elections last year in Kenya. This came during a meeting on Friday between a Kenyan delegation and the ICC General Prosecutor, Louis-Moreno Ocampo.

Parliamentary Health Committee calls for concerted effort to fight TB

Gaddafi denies supporting 'independent' south Sudan

African Union decides against cooperating with ICC over indicted persons

Ashraf Qazi welcomes election postponement

Mr Qazi said in a press statement that the revised elections' timetable will provide more time for voter registration, training of staff, in addition to civic and voter education.
